Assessment Day

New Date and Time TBD

Any new league players (age 8+) need to attend our Assessment Day to ensure the safety and competitive balance. New Instructional level players need NOT attend.

Please come prepared with your glove! Team helmets, bats, and facemasks will be provided.

What's the time commitment?

Instructional Level (ages 5-7)

  • Typically 2 scrimmages a week (one weeknight scrimmage and one Saturday afternoon scrimmage)
  • Each scrimmage consists of instruction and practice before playing another CGSL team
  • Scrimmages are focused on providing players game experience while teaching the fundamentals
  • Played at Little Dow Field

Minor Level (ages 8-10) and Junior Level (ages 11-8th grade)

  • Typically 2-3 games a week (one or two weeknights and one Saturday game)
  • Whenever possible, rainout games will be made up on the next available Sunday afternoon
  • Practices are at the coach's discretion - generally prior to the start of the season and/or before game time
  • These are fast pitch divisions with the goal of developing players' skills and understanding of the game
  • Games are played against CGSL and WGSL (Westerly) teams - approximately 4 away games in Westerly
  • Home games are played at Richmond Elementary, Wicklund Field, or Dow Field

Senior Level (high school)

  • Typically 1-2 games a week
  • Slow pitch division offering a fun, team atmosphere
  • Games are played against other slow pitch leagues in South County
  • Home games are played at Dow Field

What do I need?

  • Positive Attitude!
  • Gray or Black Pants
  • Glove
  • Cleats (Required for Minor/Junior Level)

Players will be provided...
